Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum

Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum
Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is one of the biggest imperial tombs in China. It lies in the eastern suburb of Nanjing, and the southern foot of Purple Mountain, adjacent to Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum. Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and his wife Queen Ma were buried here. Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is renowned for its unique design, eminent stone statues, amazing beauty and magnificent scale, which sets a milestone in the historical development of Chinese mausoleums. It may be rated as the No.1 mausoleum of Ming and Qing Emperors.

The Confucius Temple
The Confucius Temple in Nanjing was originally constructed in the year of 1034 in the Song Dynasty. It was a place to worship and consecrate Confucius(551-479, BC), the great philosopher and educator of ancient China. This temple suffered repeated damage and had been rebuilt on several occasions since that time. In 1984 the temple was rebuilt under the support of the local government.

Xuanwu Lake
Surrounded by City Wall of Ming Dynasty, Mt. Jiuhua and Jiming Temple, Xuanwu Lake is a beautiful scenic spot in Nanjing. There are five isles in the lake: Huanzhou (Circle Isle ), Yingzhou (Cherry Isle), Liangzhou (Beam Isle), Cuizhou (Green Isle) and Lingzhou (Rhombus Isle), Each isle has wonderful scenery.

Presidential Palace
The Presidential Palace is located at the original Xuyuan garden, which has more than 600 years history. The garden once became uprising peasants¡¯ palace during Taiping Heavenly Kingdom (1851-1864) and the Revolution Palace when Dr. Sun Yat-sen took the oath of office of provisional president, and hence had been the presidential office loacation of the Republic of China until 1945. Today, the Presidential Palace attracts visitors with numerous well-preserved remains of modern Chinese and Western style architecture, unique domestic history and culture, and beautiful natural scenery. Now it has become the largest museum of Chinese modern history.
